This company operates through a network of independently owned local agents rather than one central workforce. That means your crew, truck, and day-to-day service quality depend on which specific agent handles your move — the corporate brand sets standards and handles marketing and claims, but the people loading your truck work for a local business, not the parent company directly.
Review data below reflects the North American Van Lines agent, Irving, TX location specifically — North American Van Lines operates through many independently run locations, so this is one representative sample, not the entire national network. North American Van Lines in one paragraph
This Irving, TX agent shows a mostly positive pattern — named drivers and crews praised repeatedly for communication and care — alongside a few serious complaints about compressed packing timelines and warehouse delays pushing delivery weeks past the promised window.
What North American Van Lines typically offers
- Full-service packing and unpacking
- Loading, transport, and unloading for interstate moves
- Storage-in-transit for moves where the destination isn't ready yet
- Furniture disassembly and reassembly
- Vehicle/auto shipping, in most cases
- Corporate and government relocation, for larger agents
Confirm which of these your specific move includes — not every location or crew offers every service, especially for agent-network and franchise brands.
How booking with North American Van Lines works
- Request a quote online or by phone, and ask for an in-home or video walkthrough survey for anything larger than a 1-bedroom.
- Review the written estimate — confirm whether it's binding, non-binding, or binding-not-to-exceed, and what's included.
- Get written booking confirmation for your specific date, not just a completed survey.
- Crew arrives to pack (if included) and load on moving day; do a walkthrough with the crew lead before they leave.
- Your shipment transits to the destination — ask for a specific delivery window and how you'll be updated.
- At delivery, inspect items against the inventory sheet before signing off — note any damage in writing immediately.
Protection plans and valuation coverage
Like most interstate movers, North American Van Lines is required to offer basic released-value protection (about 60 cents per pound per item) at no extra cost — it rarely covers what your belongings are actually worth. Full-value protection costs more but covers repair or replacement at current value. Given the damage and claims themes in the reviews below, it's worth reading how estimate types affect your final bill and binding vs. non-binding estimates before you sign anything.
Where North American Van Lines is genuinely good
- Repeated praise for specific drivers keeping customers updated throughout transit
- Competitive pricing cited by multiple reviewers
- Careful handling of heavy furniture and floors on well-run jobs
Where North American Van Lines falls short
- At least one pack/load job compressed from 2 days to 1, leading to disorganized packing
- A detailed complaint describes belongings sitting in a warehouse for weeks past a guaranteed delivery window with poor communication
- As an agent network, service quality depends heavily on which local agent handles your move
What customers are saying (36 of 81 reviews)
“All staff members from the initial call to the transport driver delivered exceptional customer service throughout the process. All timelines were met as scheduled, and items arrived safely without issue. We appreciate the communication we received along the way.”
“Todd did our in house estimate. He was very friendly and professional. Our driver, Josh, who finally delivered our goods was terrific. Great communication, professional, and thorough. Everything else about the experience was terrible. Our pack and load was compressed from 2 days to 1 which was not enough time for the job to be done properly. The situation at my home was pure chaos. My belongings were packed haphazardly and without care. They sat in a warehouse without a driver to take them...”
“Hassle-free move from TX to IL. Great experience and service.”
“Guess its ok for your drivers to pull out information of a semi...ANOTHER SEMI PULLING OUT INFONT OF ONE REALLY guess commonsense is not so common. Yes its only the last part but its still a video.i was doing 38 on the road both phone and Garmin said it was 40. Glad to know your drivers dont care about other semis.”
“We are extremely disappointed with our experience using North American Van Lines for our recent move. We paid over $7,700 for what we were promised would be professional, reliable moving services. Our belongings were picked up on April 27, 2026, with a guaranteed delivery window of April 30âMay 2. Unfortunately, this turned into one of the most stressful experiences we have ever endured. From the beginning, there were major issues. The driver spent over an hour arguing loudly with his crew...”
“Competitively priced. Great crews on both ends. Little to no damage. Good experience.”
“The move could not have been easier. Driver and movers on both ends were fast, friendly and careful. Driver was awesome to deal with all the way through keeping in direct contact.”
“Cannot recommend this business enough, my family moved from Dallas to Seattle and we absolutely made the right choice going with these guys. Beltmann group provided a very competitive price and were responsive and helpful with every question I had along the way as we were preparing to move. Their driver and moving team could not have been more professional and thorough, I was very impressed with how much care they took with packing all our heavy furniture and boxes and how quickly/...”
“Extremely happy with move from TX to FL, including the estimator Jim, who made several on site visits to get an accurate scope and quote and the driver Mr Johnson who also came to the house the day before loading to review every item to be moved, including how to protect every item. They were extremely careful loading & unloading, including protecting the floors, very professional and respectful and even delivered ahead of schedule. All for a fair price.”
“When do you plan to provide HausofHellen with financial compensation? Come on, gentlemen, answer me.”
“We needed to arrange a major cross country move with short notice and two weeks prior to Christmas. After contacting several moving companies, Beltran Relocation immediately rose to the top of our list, providing an immediate and competitive on site quote, followed by a scheduled moving date that satisfied our requirements. Actual execution of the move, both loading, delivery and unloading was flawless. The basis of our high recommendation was the consistent communications from all parties -...”
“The move was fairly smooth. They showed up on time, the loaders were very careful not to hit walls, doors, and take care of the furniture. It did take a while to arrive at the new place, but wasnât a big deal. The unloading wasnât as careful, some walls and doors got dinged. Some of the furniture did get minor scratches and dings, and one floor lamp is missing. A sculpture was cracked. We did pack ourselves, and highly recommend using heavy duty boxes. But all together was a good move.”
“Walter and Rita are EXTREMELY amazing people and did an excellent job with moving our belongings. They were extremely professional, fast and efficient! I would highly recommend this couple to do your long distance move! GOD Bless them and their team!”
“This was my second time moving I went with a brokerage moving company the first time (Menards Moving company 0/10) on my first time. They quoted me 3000 and by the time they had my stuff packed up it was 9000. This time I asked my uncle and he recommended Beltman Relocation Group and what they quoted me for 3000 for a Texas to Indiana move and I paid 3000. It was fast and easy and they arrived on time.”
“Overall, my wife and I are very satisfied with the work completed by the movers. We did not have anything major break and everything was properly labeled and packed on the truck. The movers themselves did a good job and making sure care was taken with our stuff. My only reason for not giving 5 stars, is the communication was lackluster at best. We knew the days they would arrive but got less than stellar communication on the actual timeline on the load day. Otherwise, if I had to move again...”

At least one pack/load job compressed from 2 days to 1, leading to disorganized packing
How do I get a quote from North American Van Lines?
Request a quote directly through North American Van Lines's website or by phone, and ask for an in-home or video walkthrough survey rather than a phone-only estimate for anything larger than a 1-bedroom — it produces a far more accurate number. Get the estimate type (binding, non-binding, or binding-not-to-exceed) in writing.
