How we select and review movers
Who we cover
We started with the 10 largest national interstate van lines by recognition and search volume — the companies people are most often actually comparing when they search for an interstate mover. We're expanding coverage to regional and local interstate movers over time; a company being covered here isn't an endorsement, and a company not yet covered isn't a mark against it.
Where our review data comes from
Every rating, review count, and quoted review on this site is pulled from that company's real Google Business Profile — we don't write, edit, or generate reviews. For national brands that operate through many independent local agents or franchise locations rather than one corporate storefront, we say explicitly which specific location's reviews we're showing, rather than implying it represents the whole national network.
We do not fabricate USDOT numbers, MC numbers, review counts, or pricing. Where we can't independently verify a fact, we say so and link to a primary source — usually FMCSA SAFER for licensing status — rather than stating an unverified number as fact.
How we frame strengths and weaknesses
Each profile's "where this carrier is good" and "where it falls short" sections are drawn directly from patterns in the real reviews we pulled — recurring praise or recurring complaints — not a proprietary scoring formula. A high star average doesn't mean a company has no weaknesses, and a lower one doesn't mean it's a bad fit for every move; read the actual review themes, not just the number.
How often this is updated
Review data is a snapshot from the date shown on each profile, not a live feed. Ratings and review counts change over time — for the most current number, check the company's Google Business Profile or FMCSA SAFER directly using the links on each profile.
